Agree that INL has remained estimably leak-proof in relation to price-sensitive information but think that the balance is swinging in the Company`s favour for the following reasons:
1. Potential for pickle-liquor re-processing:
Considering that the Victorian EPA was enlightened enough to introduce Intec to GBG (if only all public bodies were as pro-active and smart) it seems logical that this neatest of environmental, technical and financial solutions will be initiated by the required grant from the EPA`s HazWaste Fund-if for no other reason than that it is difficult to think of a more appropriate application of such funds. This is not a foregone conclusion but whichever way it goes a decision is likely soon.
2. Potential for re-processing EAF dust through Whyalla:
Three month due diligence period is up.As this would require the raising of finance as a stand-alone project it is likely that the prevailing and projected price of the zinc contained in Intec`s stockpile will influence the decision every bit as much as the technical input of Mr.Jim Siemon. It is therefore most encouraging to see zinc breaking strongly to the upside today (currently up 5.53% at over 82 US cents per pound). The win-win from processing would be the release to Intec of the very substantial sums held at present in the limbo of environmental bonds. This project can be viewed as more likely now than at any time since its`proposal.
3. Potential for the signing of commercial agreement(s) in China following the recent visit:
There is significant potential here given the commendable groundwork done by Mr.Joe Lam.A recent posting has expressed concern that Intec`s technology may be transferred without value .Given Mr.Lam`s willingness to take shares in lieu of salary or fees I can only say that he has more to lose from such an outcome than any of us.A number of projects related to the processing of EAF and Furnace dust were scheduled to be visited as well as an opportunity for the recovery of both base and precious metals from electronic waste.Having no knowledge beyond announcements we can only await with some anticipation news of the outcome of this visit during which there was also discussed the:
4. Potential for the resumption of work on the Brown`s Sulphide Project:
Talks were scheduled with the Hunan Non-Ferrous Metals Corporation following what is understood to be Intec`s discovery of a stability zone in its`lead process with the potential to 'massively reduce capital and operating costs of the Intec Process for the Brown`s Sulphide Project'.As Intec has pointed out Hunan and Compass have already spent over $200m on the work-up of this project and Hunan are unlikely to just walk away.As encouraging for them as this drop in the cost of producing lead must be the recent increase in its`price (currently up 5.21% today at over 87.75 US cents per pound).
5. Potential for the re-start of the Hellyer Mill:
Royalties capped at $5m will be payable to Intec by BSM on the resumption of processing.BSM have expressed the intention of resuming production next year and as was pointed out on an earlier post have advertised for a Manager for the project. The substantial increase in the price of lead and zinc even in the short time since this advert adds weight to this being placed in the 'highly-likely' category.
All in all,not a bad portfolio of possibilities-even if that`s all they are for now.
