Keep in mind, AHQ paid AUD$23M for Short Creek.
But of that amount, $17M was for the bond. Only $6M was paid for the mine itself.
So even if the administrator tries to sell it for $1, they still need to find someone prepared to pay the $17M bond.
Is Short Creek worth $17M in the current market, with coal prices falling so quickly? No idea.
