That's true, I patted myself on the back for selling the bulk of my holdings in the 20s when I thought inflation was going to be an issue and the DFS would see Capex blow outs.
I don't think my words carry that much weight and If I wanted to fire shots. I would be talking about the 3 HPAL plants in Indonesia which just got built on time and under budget.
Im sure some LT holders remember the good Dr saying hpal was the more expensive option well not anymore one of those hpal plants was built for $700mil and it produces 2x what the tech project would.
China and Indo already have another 26 HPAL plants in the works to be completed by 2026.
China is coming to do what China does best drive the cost down as low as possible to eliminate competition.
The 100 tech projects needed to meet the upcoming nickel shortage days are long gone. The way Indo/ China are ramping up there won't be much of a nickel deficit and if the price of nickel drops below $20k alot of projects imo will struggle to get finance no matter how stellar they appear.
Will history repeat? If Qpm takes to long to get to market will China once again price it out?
Now I hope none of you guys actually think I have the power to move the price of nickel...........
