Isn't it good that we are starting to hear from the CER board and management a story in line with the views that I have repeatedly made on these threads.

    1. That CER can survive without CNP.
    2. That it is CNP in financial trouble that need not bring down CER with it if CNP folds.
    3. That the CER board are in a position to sell assets it does not wish to sell if the interests of CER do not align with the interests of CNP.
    4. That CER may raise capital even in the event that the majority holding in CNP is diluted.
    5. That CER is undervalued by the market.

This is the interpretation that I make from the recent news items that are around at the moment. I still hold the opinion that CER has assets with a value well ahead of the current book valuation. That it has a sound business, operates profitably, should have the support of lenders, is capable of seperation from CNP and is in a position to be restructured into a new dividend paying entity at an early date.
