To answer your question Dee, the crowd was pretty deadpan. But then I have seen very few general meetings of public companies at which shareholders showed much consciousness let alone life. This crowd was, on average, better dressed than the usual shabby crowd one sees, however.

I was very unimpressed with the Chairman. Speaking only for myself, I would not have chosen him.

One thing worth noting was that there was no discussion, even mention, of the former encumbents spending shareholders' money on campaigning for their seats on the board.

It was all over in half an hour.

The highlight of the meeting for me was seeing Li Cunxin (Mao's Last Dancer) sitting behind me. I bothered him for an autograph. He is a charming chap.
