A good part of trading is money management and position size management. If it costs several $k in commission to get into the market and then several $k to get out, then a profit of a few thousand seems like a dangerous gamble betting on a market bounce.

I prefer to see conviction in any rally before laying my money down.

I notice some posters flip/flop their buy/sell position/no position depending on the outcome of the DOW. It surprises me that they are able to get into the ASX when the market is closed. My guess is that they are massaging their ego's.
Well, if it works for them, thats fine!
