Not sure re appropriate valuation but agree this is oversold. Entry of a new competitor never good news but given the time frame to completion of tpgs entry, the potential for cost blowouts, the evolution of 5g, etc i think there is a lot of front running of the actual challenges to Telstras profits. That coupled with some risk off pull back in the markets (asx of the to of the channel at 5950, dax similar) has over cooked the drop a bit. Haven't seen anything in last company report suggesting/ flagging a drop in the dividend and even a stable one means any excellent current dividend return. Any BTFD rebound in markets should see this cover the gap i would think.
