Lately there had been some discussions on the increased dosing levels and goals for the sepsis safety trial.

James clearly states that they want to find out where the limit is and that this identified maximum limit is NOT the required treatment dosage. They are looking for the maximum POSSIBLE (but not always required) treatment dose in general.

Quote James, the seek to find the "therapeutic window where it works against the bacteria and where there is too much compound administered into the blood"

So the bigger the window, the more flexibility they will have in treating different type of infections, at different gravities of each infection.
