the BIP site directs to BNYM for any queries about distributions and holdings but I still haven't received my authorization code so I can't get into the BNY Mellon site to check holdings.
Does anybody with access know how the distributions will be made? Is there an enrollment election available on the site regarding distributions?
Can distributions be received in AUS$ or will we just receive a $US cheque in the mail? (I hope it comes faster than other BNYM mailings!!)
Is it perhaps possible to setup a BNYM brokerage account to receive US$ distributions?
Any thoughts on keeping distributions in US$? All the OZ banks seem to have significant fees for depositing foreign cheques and quite large minimum balance requirements for setting up foreign currency accounts. I note CBA even has a 1% charge for withdrawing US$ from a US$ foreign currency account.
As another option, has anybody been through the hoops of setting up an offshore $US bank account to receive BIP distributions by direct credit?
