I should add the "enormous footprint" in your previous post is not at all enormous because the disruption will be minimal. The land will be rehabilitated immediately on resource depletion and the locals returned to their lands with prime lands to return to agriculture activities.
The compensation - as with the opex which is incredibly low due to labor - material costs will be minimal given the annual income from their farming and their time disrupted. They will return - have greater capital to farm more profitable and have a better dwelling from compensation - and far better surrounding infrastructure - roads - power and local infrastructure in schools - medical centres - etc. An excellent outcome for all.
