Hi guys - here are 4 illustrations of piddly trades in Helix that depressed the share price recently. In my post above I meant to attach all 4 but had a software problem that I could not resolve in the 3 minutes edit time after realising that only one of the extracts was posted ...It wouldn't take much effort to find worse illustrations of this sort of thing - with Helix and other stocks. (You'll see , BTW, that ChiX was used for 3 of the 4 trades).

I find this kind of thing to be disturbing, knowing that the regulators are not catching a lot of the manipulation that is happening in the markets. It is also poor that certain trading apps on mobile devices do not even show ChiX data at all, even though the brokers involved (who may be in big banks for example) profess to have Best Execution policies to protect the customers interests i.e. their money. Oh yeah??

Best Execution (really? - or trying to 'cross' the trade to get commissions on both sides of the transaction??)
My suspicion is that some so-called Best Execution or 'market integrity' checking in fact is the broker trying to cross the trade with an opposing one on their own house, to lock in a commission on each side of the transaction. Trading programs could easily be written to disclose -with a broker ID code - which brokers were on each side of each transaction. I am sure that if there were more transparency then there would be less manipulation.
