Havieron's first 10 years mine life will only be a maximum 3Mtpa operation,
A 3Mtpa PFS envisages 10Y at 264koz pa AuEq.
So, barely half of Telfer's current output.
Minyari's 33Mt @ 1.6g gold resource if mined @ 3Mtpa would be 180,000oz gold per annum on a +10 year case scenario. In terms of gold equivalence, with cobalt and copper credits, a "guess" would be 220,000oz gold eq. So not a big difference at all in comparison to Havieron's 264,000oz initial gold output for first 10 years.
Plus Minyari Dome ore starts from surface, easier for mining. Latest news from GGP boss 2 days ago is there's still 325m vertical metres to go until it reaches the top of Havieron ore body. Which means in last 14 months, they've only reached +70 vertical metres...at this rate there will most certainly be delays to the project.
So what will Telfer do if Havieron ore realistically won't begin to substitute Telfer ore for another 3 years? ...will Telfer shut down, and workers relocated to other operations until ready?
