Sentiment of TNT shareholders is very much driven by commentary on this forum. Important to remember that TNT does not have any funds or institutional investors and ~60% of the stock is held by founders and key staff (tightly held - doesn't get traded on market) This means that ~40% is held by small retail investors who for the most part are driven by lifestyle decisions - (ie sell shares to pay school fees). Just takes one or two of these types of relatively small transactions to move the SP up or down 10 or even 15% (as demonstrated yesterday) Unfortunately many of these mum and dad type investors are to a large extent lead by what they read here. 700k in one day is significant in this company. This imbalance in the capital structure and lack of liquidity needs to be addressed but unfortunately there is no easy fix. Institutional/sophisticated investors are required to balance out the register!! The company's comparatively low EV is a symptom of this.
