Also caused by some higher input costs due to higher commodity prices (oil in particular), I suspect. The higher costs and a high AUD would be hindering our goldies. We will know soon the effect of higher costs when goldies release their quarterlies. I noticed that Baker Steel has been selling down interests in Australian goldies. I guess they are cashing-in in anticipation of the seasonal fall in gold shares when they can buy in cheaper.

We need some major news to stimulate market interest in goldies. Just repeating a good story does not cut it at the moment with investors.
