Been checking out Teck Resources, gee whizz they are heavy hitters, certainly nice to have neighbours of that quality. Here's an extract from their website, "Teck is actively exploring and evaluating opportunities in over a dozen countries worldwide with a focus on the Americas and strategic belts in Australia,Asia, Europe and Africa." Seems they believe the area holds potential worthy of their time and $.
