$96m, I don't think Genesis has that sought of cash on hand.
BlackRock cashed out 1% of NCM on the 18th of August. That gave them approx $230m cash to invest in another ASX Gold miner. RED still presents much better value than any other gold producer.
All these super accounts/managed funds that hold newcrest CANNOT hold newmont. They hold NCM in an AUSTRALIA share/manged fund which means it needs an ASX listing. They will be able to do an inhouse transfer to their global/international funds of some of their newmont stock, but still need to replace the ASX asset. GMD isn't really producing. EVN and NST are expensive compared to RED
