A failure to adapt to change is what kills businesses. Large or small.
Technology brings change, BIG changes and massive disprution.
Cloud computing is the future because it significantly reduces costs. Cost of servers, costs of security, cost of licenses etc etc.
The ones that don't make the change will be left behind IMO as what happens when the web makes its way into an industry.
Look at newspapers and classified advertising as a classic example.
