I am a cattle farmer on an island .
Don't usually use at all Urea but because of flooded paddocks used it twice on a hilly sand paddock in Sept .
Cost $800 /t , no one will quote at the moment but over $1600 /t and still rising now .
Fertiliser is by far the biggest impute cost to my business .
Cattle prices here are at all time highs so the high fertiliser costs are manageable at the moment but will really hurt if they are still high when the cattle prices inevitably drop back .

The main fertiliser that I have used in the last 25 years is DAP which contained nitrogen .
However that it was not why I used it .
DAP was the cheapest fertiliser for Phosphorous that is the main element we need to grow grass.
I considered the Nitrogen just a bonus that promotes short term fast growth .
All types of fertiliser have had big price increases this year but the fertilisers containing Nitrogen viz Urea , DAP and MAP have risen the most but Potassium and phosphate fertilisers have risen too .

Grazing pastures can flourish without Nitrogen from fertiliser because clovers and other legumes can put nitrogen from the air into the soil but grain growers are more reliant on nitrogen from fertiliser .

I think PIVOT produces DAP from rock phosphate from their Duchess Mine in QLD they bought from BHP .
PIVOT is in a JV with CTP to develop Coal seam gas resources .
They are big users of gas for both explosives and fertiliser .
There business is very sensitive to the price of gas .
