Thanks Jophda. An informative read. Faced with an obstacle, the solution is to look for an alternative. As a grazier you seem to be fortunate in that you have the clover+ legume option. I'm no grain grower but from what I have read, grain growers faced with high fertilizer costs have the alternative of crop rotation. However this option results in a 25 percent reduction in yields. Just highlighting the importance of fertilizers.
