We are seeing some real action around hydrogen. From the AFR today:
Dr Forrest is pushing to build a $1 billion power station of that scale (850-1000MW) and has said he is willing to fully fund the project through his privately owned Squadron Energy and have it built at Port Kembla within two years of approval.
He wants to be producing hydrogen by 2023. (A man with a plan and the capital to do it!)
Government policy, European regulations, technical development, and investment are all starting to head in the same direction — toward a low-carbon economy.
The possibility of a wave—hydrogen tie up would be pretty amazing.
