One off my thoughts on this is that the current generations especially are less focused on acquiring lot's of things, so their home environment whether rented or owned will increasingly become their sanctuary from a maddening world.....this coupled with a likelihood of less travel or restaurant social interaction in a recession for the middle classes could also support an increasing desire to create ambiance at home for entertaining.......additionally with a growing middle class globally, an increase in demand for a Lifx products even in a recession is surely a possibility.
As far as Ohm, increased compliance and energy saving requirements / monitoring must still support Buddy's business goals.
