Look how well our market is doing vis a vis USA, OUR RATES SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER, so where is the comparison in your analogy. If we dropped rates to their level our market would be booming. Thumb suckery at its worst. If their market collapsed at GFC and ours did not it means it did not collapse here and there is a lot of fat in the system to stop that happening. Do you get it? Did not collapse in GFC ... why should it now and when USA rebounds in the housing sector, which will happen it will make ours look reasonable.
