Are you living there Writer, or just visiting your homeland?
I lived in Nelson during the mid 80s.
The economy was pretty much the same back then, wages were 50% less than in Oz, but prices much higher.
Beautiful country though, and the people know how to have a good time.
Have a DB (or ten) for me mate!
