    Adapt??? The US unemployment rate is 4.6% with the workforce made up of around 140 million people.

    Another 95 million able-bodied citizens of the US have dropped out of the workforce completely to sit around on welfare. Many of them retiring early because they don't feel like getting new jobs, since welfare is so easy to get.

    So no, I don't buy into your ridiculous theory. If you want an economy like THAT, you're out of your mind. Take a look at the portion of the US budget that goes towards entitlements and social security. Thankfully Trump is actually doing something to fix this, and since he became president the participation rate has ticked up. Good sign but a long way to go. I do not wish this situation on Australia, in future before talking about the American workforce as the poster child of a low wage utopia, please get familiar with the facts.
