Plough, we could make some exceptions...
Personally, I'd like to see hand lopping for theft written into OUR laws.
A few years back, a Perth dude had his car and house broken into numerous times by an Indigenous youth from next door........and smashed all the fingers on one of the youth's hands.
"Truly fitting and just", I thought.....but the law thought otherwise......and the dude was arrested and charged....and would still be paying compensation to the thief.
Bet he never went near the guy's house or car again, eh?
