For those interested, probably a better example of an equivolume chart is the expanded MNB chart below, just showing the last 9 months.
You can see the very small volume days leading up to the last placement, then that big wide red candle on April 15 with the placement.
You can then see the volume reducing - the whole month of June shown about the same width (volume) as that 1st wide green candle on July 22 with 5.4m volume.

You can clearly see the new trend starting at that candle and big volumes which over the last few days have dried up - shown by the very narrow candles.
