Dull - what you say is absolutely correct: analysts are entitled to their opinion.
BUT - and it's a big "but - because they are labelled as analysts, and because they dress up their opinions with lots of numbers and acronyms, does NOT make them any more valid as an opinion than yours or mine.
In other words - an "educated guess" is still just a guess!
And how many times have we seen analysts get it completely wrong? And how many times have they got it right?
And re your views on taking profits - that's fine for trading stocks, but I'm using this dip to add to my long-term holding stocks - including PDN, as you know. There are a few others as well - and the key is to have a long time-frame view of these stocks.
I'm happy to make quick profits on short-term trading, but use these profits to add to my long-termers. That will be putting the money to much better use than have it sitting doing nothing.
All the ones I'm adding to are still averaging UP for me - they're all stocks that I bought VERY cheaply a long time ago. I have no intention of "taking profits" out of these at present - that is something I may consider in 5-10 years time or thereabouts. Or then again, maybe not... ;)
Each to their own plan - as long as you HAVE a plan :)
