did some calculations for my 6 thumbers of this post.
turns out if one puts in a equal amount to current holding that one gets a pretty close break even sp regardless of whether it's a 1:5 or 1:10 consolidation[ 4 or 2 cents into 20 cents]
now i know it's maths and figures but hope you follow.
Using 30cents as Origal Holding of $30000 invested ie 100,000 # holding.
Consolidated at 4 cents 5:1 is then 20,000#///
at 2 10:1 a 10,000# that cost $30000.
Then another $30,000 is "added" at 20 cents to get 150,000 #.
This then gives a Break Even of
for 4 cents---- $60000 /170000#= 35 cents
for 2 cents= $60000/160000# = 37.5 cents
now considering Break Even for just holding original consolidated, 20k/10k at $30000 cost has respective Break Even as $1.50 [4:1] and $3 [10:1]
the Equal $ way of double down gives the best Hope.
all amounts 10/30/even 3 or 300grand will give the same break even IF initial was 30cents.
Higher than that? Higher Break Even.
Lower than 30cents Lower Break Even than 35/37.5.
Fun with Figures.
