if you want to go back to actual cause - then, you need to go back to the real beginning
nature --------------- it's where viruses begin
all we are seeing is disease in action
why is that a point at all and why is it important?
because - you ALWAYS have breakdowns, mistakes and god knows what when you get disease loose and running
it's why you think through things in the first place -
it's why you don't casualise workforces, it's why you don't have very few but, massive complexes for food supply (supermarkets), it's why you don't have dunny doors on facilities in public places, it's why you don't jam thousands of people on one train, it's why you don't sit people rubbing shoulders on thin tin cans that fly at high speed from continent to continent, it's why you don't have huge hospitals - instead you have more smaller facilities
etc etc
the argument is ----------------------- it's too costly otherwise
my argument has always been ---------------------- is it?
when the shit hits the fan - like now ------------- how's your cost savings going?
someone said a few weeks back that no one saw this coming

who, with a brain - can not see a pandemic coming??
do we think history has changed? do we think disease has gone away?
do we think that now because we are zooming around the world in hours - that we are more at risk or less??
all we are seeing happening is what we read about in history - it's real, and it's in black and white - the only difference is - it's happening now

it isn't the last --- and, it won't be the biggest, it won't be the ugliest and, the next one could come tomorrow
it's that simple ------------ the question is ----------- do we want to be prepared
or do we want to go through all this crap again or at least be better prepared?
