Simple google will show the history of articles on his staff numbers in his Department of Premier and Cabinet being more than any past 6 Premiers 437 to 900+ since he started alone. I also believe it was reported he had more than Scott Morrison at one point, mind you that was a couple of years back.
The Prime Minister has made it very clear he offered substantial ADF resources and was not sure why they weren't taken up by the Victorian government. They only took up the offer of 1000 from the ADF in mid July 2020.
On Tuesday morning, Brendan Murphy, secretary of the Department of Health, told the senate select committee on Covid-19 that delays had plagued Victoria’s contact tracing regime “certainly for a period of a couple of weeks”, and that the backlog “has to have been a factor” in community transmission. However he said the state had made substantial improvements to contact tracing recently.
So there is a backlog, there is a shortage and then they finally bring in the ADF 1000!!! Meanwhile Dan has 900+ staffers doing what?????
