well, it seems that a 3rd boat arrived today - making a total of 500 asylum seekers.

that is probably an admission that some people are nothing more than economic refugees.
a few years ago, there were only a handful of boat people, about 2 years ago there were 5000 people, last year about 17,000 boat people - this year there will be about 30,000 people - and next year - who knows.
when it was 5000 boat people, the mantra was - oh it is only a few - why worry - so when can we start worrying???.
