    you may be right MobyT, I don't know, but it just shows the government and the Greens face a monumental task in selling a carbon tax to the electorate.

    Global warming, CO2 emissions, "the greatest challenge of our time" as Rudd would say, got a lot of traction in 2007 because it was off the back of a 10 year drought in many parts of Australia and people were saying maybe the scientists are right.

    Now the drought is broken and a spot of cold weather and it's all "this climate change is bunkum it's just another way for the government to get its hand on my wallet."

    Human nature being what it is, if CO2 emissions are creating a global catastrophe nothing will be done because of self interest.
