Can someone please help me understand the definition of the "Record Date".
On the other thread it has been said that today is the last day to buy shares and participate in the Rights Issue.
The Record date for the Rights Issue is 10th November, can a person buy shares on Tues next week (4th Nov) and own them 3 days later (7th Nov) and hence be a shareholder prior to the Record Date of 10th Nov?
