Synlait has a contract to supply A2 with IF. That is, Synlait pays farmers a premium to supply A2 milk it then turns into IF. Synlait has exclusivity rights to ensure A2 can only sell existing IF products into China, AUS and NZ. However, Fonterra now has a contract to supply A2 with products for other markets.
