With the global pivot towards green technology, Platinum Group Metals such as platinum, palladium and rhodium will continue to play a central role in that transition.
However, despite a complex outlook, World Platinum Investment Council Director of Research Edward Sterck believes the long-term fundamentals for the PGM market remain strong despite the recent short-term fluctuations.
Speaking to Investor Stream, Sterck outlines why South Africa is the premium location for PGMs, and why demand is still high for quality PGM materials despite the current market conditions.
