A lot of people talk sh!t here, but not many will go so far as to suggest they are privy to inside information.
A lot of people do make decisions from other people's postings - in amongst the tonnes of rubbish postings there are often a few gems, often with ample supporting references.
If you are privy to market sensitive information then you must not act on it (eg: tell others or trade in the company's securities). If it turns out that what you are saying is correct, ASIC could, theorectically, approach you (and your source).
A presentation recently given by ASX surveillance mentioned reading HotCopper as part of their daily functions. Also note point 1 of the ASIC notice on this site.
