No doubt with a few more months drilling and a JORC a higher price could have been negotiated.
However, look at what the actual deal has delivered:
1) Removal of funding risk for the commercial Chinchilla development. This is a massive thing given the current conditions.
2) Entry into China with Xinwen and their 30bn tonnes of coal as partners.
I'm not complaining :)
