I think the milling tool is only for grinding out the cement around the pipes and perhaps initially to prep the upper pipe end for tapping a thread. If they have lost a 1000' of pipe it sounds as though they plan to clear 100', screw on, break the stand bottom joint, pull out and run in and repeat the process once every day. I feel they are a bit optimistic. The rig will certainly operate through Christmas, however.
