Consider that having a plant in the US should exempt the company from tariffs and also slash the freighting cost to both US and Canada. Also consider (rightly or wrongly) the average US employee receives substantially less of an hourly payrate without the perks and loadings than either AUS or NZ employees get.
Maybe the orange one won't deliver on his speach but it is at least worth while to put a costing plan together for a plant.
