My understanding is that the first trials, which are safety trials, are normally carried out on healthy patients not infected ones.

I'm not sure why a healthy individual would put his hand up to be treated with a substance for which the effects are irreversible and whose long term effects are unknown. Maybe this is partly responsible for the slippage from early to mid March.

I asked Carl several weeks ago whether the trial would be carried out on healthy of sick patients but never go a reply. Pity.
