    I have to agree with Flippa on one point. The refinery as it stands will require major additions and upgrades of existing unit operations to be able to process spent cathodes. The current refinery design won't do this. If it could, all the previous study announcements would have highlighted this as massive future advantage. They did not. I have a sneaky suspicion you know this.

    On the autoclaves, my theory is the HPAL peripherals (slurry heaters, flash vessels and interconnecting ducting for example) would logically be upsized from 2.5 Mtpa to suit the maximum processing capacity of the claves they bought. It makes sense to do this now rather than later. However, the upstream and downstream circuits (i.e. the rest of the process plant) will not have been upsized. It would be cost prohibitive in my opinion. So, upsized HPAL? Probably. The rest? No.
