I swim at the Riverton Leisureplex on a regular basis and the pools are heated.

There are two bores very adjacent to the 50 metre pool. One extracts water from a significant depth to assist in the heating then the second returns the spent "hot" water.

To my way of thinking this is not all that far removed from fracking. Yet no one is upset. Go figure.
