''We have the solutions but we don't implement them as fast as we could.''
IMO - both young people and old people are equally to blame for abusing the planet
there are several young people who are minimalist - and actively restrict some kinds of consumerism ---------- they refuse to buy new clothes and will only buy second hand, they refuse to eat meat, they won't fly and don't own cars - they use public transport
BUT they are overwhelmed by consumeristic morons - who just keep buying more and more useless and throw away shit
look no further than young women and fast fashion - and many older women as well
why pick on women ------------ as I said - go look at fast fashion - it's not exclusively women - but, as per usual - women are the vast bulk of it
what's fast fashion?
fast fashion is basically buying from the internet at very very cheap prices, mostly cheap shit clothing - which you wear a few times (or less) and ditch
one of the most destructive things invented for the planet - YET - the young support it massively
Then, there's Asia - go to Asia -look what Asians buy - all of them, young and old - they buy the biggest load of totally useless cheap sit one can lay eyes on - they're even worse than Americans -
Americans are about the biggest wasters on the planet - but, at least they had reasonable quality shit - but Asians take that top shelf and cigar with ease.
Sure, we can all stop driving V8's -------- but, if we stopped buying shit - we stop factories pumping shit into the atmosphere, we stop so much oil required, we stop so much coal being burned to make the shit - and we stop so much coal being mined and transported to the factories
so, yes - whilst young people have a reason to be depressed when they see these boneheads on here who are nil but ignorance a dullards -
young people too have a responsibility - AND - in the main - they are not being at all responsible
one look at their buying habits should send shivers up the spine of the planet
