Not saying there is no silver around the Mancos area. But is it minable?
Plenty of old mines in the higher elevations, 10,000+ feet. 4x4 trails only though. Check out the Silverton Area north of Durango. Was the old Silver mine camp.

Yes to be honest, in the six years that i lived in Durango 2000-2006, i never met one person who worked in an operating mine in the area including Mancos.

How was living on the moon?
I love Durango. It is still a second home for me. Was there just last month!
