on the contrary....dink's....modest little 2 bedroom, limited use of airco...both out working all day... other stories were similar.... I got a bill for one of my houses for $500 for less than one months use....my normal costs for past 20 years is on average $100 pm....but have since cut the usage, I keep a log these days.... flabbergasted when I got the bill, then been doing the readings myself....and its back to normal costs... I really need to find out the reading prior to my taking it over...sounds like a big mistake there I know of others with similar stories....once they start checking the usage on either a daily or weekly basis...they can match it to the readings...to see if its true have a family member with a $1400 bill, about the same time I got mine....she was away from her home for 3 months...go figure...all the energy company advised her was to pay it off in instalments...of about $100 a week.. normal usage again was $100 a month for past 10 years it has to be dodgy and it is not limited to NSW alone
