Sorry guys this is nothing but bullshit. Wishful thinking is of no use for anybody, let's stick to the facts. Germany will be out of the nuclear age in 10 years from now. This is not a wish, this is by law. Yes there will be *one* nuclear reactor survive in "standby" mode this is for unforeseen shortages in the transition phase.
Germany as a society has decided to end the nuclear age. This is bold and significant decision based on trust on germany's engineering, scientific and economical strenghts. I may kindly remember you that germany ist europe's strongest and biggest economy, for sure this was not achieved by wrong decisions. This malicious joy, hoping that germans will not make it ... that I *really dislike*. One may ask what Australia has to offer on top of resources? What is Australia's key strenghts despite of digging in the ground? I really don't get the snobbish approach of some local posters here.

Everybody is entitled for his opinion, every society can make their own choices. We really need to respect each other. So if China and India will go fur nuclear big time, fine and may be a good fit for them, it may change in 20 years when people wake up. As long as nuclear reactors are alive there will accidents, not because of the technology but because we as human beings are not able to handle it.

Back to Germany. The utilities are hurt badly by the decision, as their shareholders. There are lot's of people that want to revert the decision. It will not happen, let's just face it, it was a decision of the society, not of single political party. I may remind you on some old posts of mine were I pointed what will happen in Germany after the Japan disaster.

The nuclear exit will impose new challenges, no doubt about it. The Power Grid needs to be developed into a Smartgrid, huge investments are to be made, which come along with new and exciting investment opportunities.
Th Smartgrid will require new players and new technologies, communication, security will play a *big* role. Energy consumption will be in each others head, as well a mindset how to save energy.

Did I sell my remaining EXT shares? No, I did sell all U cos but for EXT. I do hold since 2005, and took profits along the way. The nuclear age is about to end, but it takes at least 30-40 years to end it worldwide. So if everybody realizes that fact it will imply 2 things
    1. Investments in development of new U mines will not be made or at least very difficult to happen
    2. Existing and ramping U mines will have a goode time if they have huge resources. Supply overall will be lower anticipating lower demand in the future which may drive the prices for the commodity higher although noone expecting it.

    All the best,
    Pisa_
