Avoca Resources Limited (the “Company” or “Avoca”) is pleased to advise that high grade drilling results have
been achieved from the Company’s first RC drilling program at the Mt Fisher Gold project. A total of 6 holes
were drilled to test the continuity and grade of an exposed quartz reef with recorded historic gold production.
Each of the 40 metre spaced holes successfully intersected the reef at a vertical depth of between 40 and 55
metres below surface. Significant results from the drilling are summarised below:
5 metres at 35.4 g/t Au from 44 metres in MTFC002
1 metre at 7.3 g/t Au from 41 metres in MTFC003
3 metres at 27.5 g/t Au from 45 metres in MTFC006
All significant results from the first drilling campaign are reported in Table 1 and a plan showing drill hole
locations is provided as Figure 1.
The reef is a quartz – ironstone lode which is exposed over a strike length of 350 metres. Historic production
from the reef, between 1949 and 1952, is recorded to be 2,384 ounces at a grade of 66 g/t Au. Rock chip and
channel sampling of reef exposures, both on surface and within the old workings, was completed by Avoca
during February 2004 confirming the prospectivity. Almost all of the 31 surface samples collected from the reef
returned significant grades with an average of all samples being 15.8 g/t Au, with a peak result of 73.8 g/t Au.
Results from the surface sampling are also depicted in Figure 1, which confirms that significant assays were
returned over a strike length of 350 metres.
Significant visible gold was panned from the drill cuttings suggesting that much of the reef will be free milling.
Screen fire assay analysis of all lode intercepts is in progress.
