"red necks"

A journo on the Skynews Contrarians show last night said something worthy of comment.

His name was Matt Moran of the Telegraph (I think). The discussion was about boat people arrivals and also the excision of the Australian mainland (passed yesterday in parliament).

Moran said the discussion about boat people had been "taken over by red necks". I believe this shows the attitude of some members of the commentariat to the average Australian.

"Red necks" is an old American term for ill-educated out door workers. Lefties love to use this word to describe anyone who disagrees with them.

There are many Australians (none of whom have "red necks") who are extremely concerned that the Rudd/Gillard govts have lost control of our borders. They are also concerned about the billions and billions of dollars spent so far on this matter.

This money could have already gone towards funding the NDIS.
    Or assisting Australian families.
