re: asx 200 stoss the full criteria for a move in the ASX/S & P indices are a bit of a mystery, decisions are made by a committee who weigh up multiple factors of which total capitalisation is only one.
Other factors would be the asset situation, gearing, liquidity of the stock including what % is free float, and profitability particularly looking to the future potential. My gutfeeling is that RDF may make the cut early in 2005 but to do that will need several profitable half yearly results.
