Energy Made Clean are in the fortunate position that they are not locked in to any one technology.  They are free to chose whichever technology suits the project they are working on at the time.

If I am reading it right, battery storage for 150 homes at  Alkimos Beach is centralised, as opposed to each house having it's own.  I am guessing the householders do not own the storage but would instead pay for it's use.  If that is the case, it would do away with the need for large upfront costs that would take years to recover.  As well, they would not lose any space to battery storage which would be in a central position somewhere in the estate.

Collaborating with Lend Lease, LandCorp, Synergy and ARENA will go a long way to establishing their credentials in the industry.
